New Arsenal signing Nicolas Pepe has finally opened up on his struggles at the club hours after flopping against Man United.

Pepe staged a lackluster performance on Monday night, September 30, at Old Trafford as Arsenal battled United to a 1-1 draw.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring for the hosts just before half time, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang earning the visitors a point with a brilliant chip over David De Gea in the 59th minute.

The match saw Unai Emery name a relatively strong squad, as Aubameyang, Pepe and Buyako Saka leading Arsenal's attackline.

Unlike Saka and Aubameyang, Pepe endured a difficult night, failing to shine in front of goal.

The Ivorian has had a torrid spell at the Emirates since joining the outfit from Lyon, scoring only once from the penalty spot against Aston Villa.

He conceded possession more than 15 times at Old Trafford before being replaced by youngster Reiss Nelson 16 minutes before time.

The left-footed winger has however acknowledged he is experiencing a dip in form with the Gunners, promising to bounce back soon.

"I’m not good enough in my stats or my usual form, it’s not the same as in Lille or during the Liverpool match early in the season," he told RMC after the Old Trafford stalemate.
"The confidence must come back. I am not very worried. People may be worried about statistics, but I’m not. I have to keep working because the level is different, so is the language. It’s a new championship for me. I have to adapt quickly but it will not be long," he added.
