Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga is urging area locals to embrace the culture of sharing during this festive season.
Speaking while launching the County’s Christmas tree, the governor said those who have should spare something little for the less fortunate in society to make them too celebrate.
Kahiga spoke while launching the country’s Christmas tree that was accompanied by goodies.
It was the first time since the advent of devolution for the Nyeri County government to treat residents to a Christmas party.

Governor Mutahi Kahiga reminded residents of the need to embrace the spirit of sharing and giving this festive season.
The county boss at the same time hit out at his critics, saying no amount of intimidation would deter him from executing his duties.
Recently rumors were rife that his administration was crumbling down with reports of resignation of his deputy Caroline Karugu. Nyeri governor dismissed the rumors.
Nyeri Central Deputy County Commissioner, James Chacha called on resident to be vigilant and work closely with the government to enhance security.
