Pep Guardiola, Man City boss, believes former Everton and Arsenal midfielder is capable of succeeding him at the Etihad Stadium.

The Mirror claim Guardiola is excited having his compatriot Arteta as his assistant since joining City from Bayern Munich.

Guardiola has now insisted Arteta could make a top manager someday, despite the former midfielder rejecting offers from Arsenal and Newcastle in the last 14 months.

“I’m pretty sure, yes. He will have success, yes. He had offers to leave but he decided to stay – thanks. Sooner or later he’s going to be a manager. He’s a young, young coach," Guardiola was quoted saying.
“He’s only 37 but he has experience already of handling big players and teams,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Premier League defending champions put behind their defeat to Norwich last weekend, dispatching Watford 8-0 on Saturday, September 21 at Eithad Stadium.

City wasted no time taking the lead after David Silva finished off a decent cross from Kevin de Bruyne after one minute of action.
