NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 20 — Queen Elizabeth II, Britain’s longest reigning monarch, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Buckingham Palace announced on Sunday that the queen had exhibited cold-like symptoms.

The palace however said the 95-year-old sovereign will continue with light duties as physicians assess her health.

Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 70 years having assumed the role on 6 February 1952 at the age of 25.

She became the longest-reigning British monarch on 9 September 2015 when she surpassed the reign of her great-great-grandmother Victoria who ruled for 63 years.
