Friday November 23, 2018-Fresh details have emerged over last week’s reconciliation meeting between National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga and Kirinyaga County Governor, Anne Mumbi Waiguru.

During the meeting held at Raila Odinga’s Capitol Hill offices, Waiguru withdrew the defamation case against Raila and also the former Premier apologised to her for making derogatory remarks.

State House sources have intimated that Waiguru and Raila’s reconciliation meeting was a Presidential Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive; part of the Building Bridges Initiative.

According to a source who requested a condition of anonymity, Uhuru tasked Cabinet Secretary without portfolio Raphael Tuju and Jubilee vice Chair David Murathe to organise the meeting and make sure Waiguru has apologised to Raila.

Uhuru also urged Tuju and Murathe to tell Waiguru to apologise to former Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama whom she had sued for defamation.

Before meeting Raila Odinga at his offices, Waiguru met Muthama at a Nairobi Hotel and apologised to him.

Muthama was chilling at the hotel with Siaya Senator, James Orengo.
