School fees for free education already disbursed, Magoha confirms

Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has confirmed that school fees for free education has already been disbursed for the first term that kicks off on Monday.

Magoha said that 19.9 billion shillings are in school account to cater for free day secondary education and free primary education progarame.

Speaking Saturday when unveiling the 2021 KCSE results, Magoha said that the ministry is committed to ensure smooth running of schools when they reopen.

He further asked school heads not to send students home for fees.

From the funds 16.9 billion shillings have been set for free day secondary education while 3 billion shillings have been allocated to free primary education program.
