DAILY POST: See what DONALD TRUMP’s Government has said about the AL SHABAAB attack at DusitD2 hotel in Kenya? No one would have prevented it 05:59
Thursday January 17, 2019 – The United States Government has dismissed claims that it had prior knowledge of the DusitD2 Hotel attack that left 21 people dead. This follows reports that were circulated on social media claiming that a US delegation that had been booked at the hotel had changed the venue just a day before the attack - a clear indication that they knew the attack would happen. But in a statement to Kenyans on Thursday, US Ambassador to Kenya, Robert Godec, denied any knowledge of the attack. “Contrary to some false reports on social media, the United States had no advance notice of the attack, nor did we ever advise American citizens or our staff to avoid the DusitD2 prior to the incident,” Mr. Godec said. He said the Donald Trump-led Government is working closely with the Kenyan authorities to provide assistance in the aftermath of the attack and asked Kenyans to stop spreading false information.

“We deplore the spread of false information in the wake of this tragedy, which only serves to hamper ongoing efforts to defeat terrorism,” he said.
