Meru Senator Mithika Linturi stormed his Runda home today afternoon destroying property that he has allegedly acquired together with his wife Maryanne Kitany.

The Senator accessed his house located at Mae Ridge Country Villas House in Runda, Nairobi, with people said to have destroyed property.
Earlier, Senior Resident Magistrate Isaac Orenge granted him access to the house to retrieve his personal possessions.
This is after court dismissed an application by Kitany barring Linturi from gaining access to the house due to confusion on the cause list.

She sought and obtained a restraining order against her husband and exclusive occupation of the couple’s shared residence.
Further, the Senator has been barred from roaming near the home or areas that Kitany visits often. The restraining order stipulates that he can only contact his wife when permitted by court.
“The Senator is restrained from physically contacting or threatening to abuse the applicant, the applicant’s staff, their six children and any other person associated with the applicant,” Magistrate Orenge ordered.
