Sunday January 13, 2019-The Jubilee drama continued yesterday during the installation of Reverend Philip Anyolo as Kisumu Catholic Diocese Archbishop.

This is after President Uhuru Kenyatta ignored his Deputy, William Ruto, and entrusted his speech to Defence Cabinet Secretary, Raychelle Omamo, in a move that has further fuelled animosity between Ruto’s allies and those allied to the President. Ordinarily, the Deputy President would read the President’s speech in the absence of the President, but that was not the case in Kisumu yesterday as Ruto stunned the audience when he invited Defence Cabinet Secretary, Raychelle Omamo, to deliver Uhuru's speech. Political and religious leaders present murmured while others expressed shock as to the turn of events and wondered as to why Ruto had been reduced to a nobody like that "Interesting matters. Raila invites DP Ruto to speak, the DP Speaks and invites CS Rachelle Omamo to deliver Uhuru’s speech.” “Would have sworn the work of a Deputy is to deputise," Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo observed. The events in Kisumu yesterday may have just confirmed rumours of the widening cracks within the Jubilee Party leadership.
