Monday January 21, 2019-President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader, Raila Odinga, yesterday shocked the nation after attending the burial of former Youth Fund Chairman, the late Bruce Odhiambo.

This is after they ditched the security detail and sneaked away from the Kisumu International Airport in two SUV cars without knowledge of anyone. The two drove themselves through the streets of Kisumu all the way to Kisumu Port before branching over to the nearby Yatch Club for fish and ugali. According to sources, the two leaders decided to drive through the town without security to ensure crowds do not block them and demand to be addressed. At Kisumu Port, Uhuru and Raila were joined by other leaders, among them Jubilee Party Secretary General, Raphael Tuju.  “I saw three Toyota Prados enter the port some minutes to 7pm. I thought they were local businessmen coming to check the port until I saw them alight. I moved closer to confirm if it was the President and Raila I was seeing,” said David Ojwang’, a boda boda rider who was at the port to pick a client. “I saw more people join the President at the port. They included Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, Deputy Governor Mathews Owilli and Bob Madanji (County Chief of Protocol),” he added.
