Sunday January 20, 2019-Busia Governor, Sospeter Ojaamong, has shocked the nation oce again. This is after he took to his Twitter handle to declare an interest in the country's top seat come 2022.

Ojaamong, who is serving his last term as Busia Governor as well as served as ODM Leader Raila Odinga's Personal Assistant in the late 90s, took to social media on Saturday afternoon and made the pronouncement; something that has shocked even Raila, considering he is eyeing the same seat come 2022.

"I stand before you to announce my CANDIDATURE for the position of the PRESIDENT in the Republic of KENYA in the 2022 elections," Ojaamong stated.

Ojaamong believes that he has all it takes to be President after Uhuru Kenyatta's term despite corruption cases he is facing.

He asked Kenyans to join him in the quest for good leadership in the country adding that nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.

"Join me in this quest, with a future of endless possibility stretching before us," he said.

Ojaamong becomes the 3rd ODM politician to declare for the Presidency come 2022 after Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya, and Mombasa Governor, Hassan Ali Joho.
