Fresh trouble is looming for the notorious officers linked to the theft of sh600 million from the Siaya County government.
Weekly Citizen has information that an infuriated governor Cornell Rasanga is out to punish the tainted officers following revelations that they used part of the loot to sponsor campaigns for Alego/Usonga MP Samuel Atandi.

Nyonje

The besieged trio chief finance officer Dennis Nyonje, finance director Michael Ogolla and cashier Dennis Simiyu Mariwa were previously suspended before they were later silently moved to different stations as investigations against them continue.

They are reported to be bragging to have silenced investigators who were allegedly given a whooping sh10 million to go slow on the matter.
According to those in the know, the money was delivered by Siaya legal adviser Leonard Okanda.
Weekly Citizen could not independently verify claims that such an amount was given to the investigators to frustrate the case.
However many are wondering how the matter has gone underground even after the DCI officers in November last year started investigations into the missing millions.

Rasanga

Pressure is now mounting on the investigators to swiftly conclude their investigations and have the trio subjected to legal justice ahead of the August general elections.
Detailed story will be published in our subsequent newspaper edition.
