DAILY POST: God bless DCI GEORGE KINOTI! He spent 18 straight hours at DusitD2 rescuing people after AL SHABAAB attack without any food, drink or sleep News 06:35

Thursday January 17, 2019 - The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), George Kinoti, showed the true spirit of a serviceman on Tuesday during the terror attack at DusitD2 Hotel along the 14 Riverside Drive. Speaking on Wednesday, Kinoti recounted how he spent 18 hours at Dusit D2 Hotel rescuing people who had been held hostage by Al Shabaab terrorists without any food or sleep. According to Kinoti, he arrived at the 14 Riverside Drive at 3:57pm and stayed there overnight until President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that the siege was over and called off the operation following the death of all the terrorists and rescuing of the hostages. "I have not had a meal since yesterday. Neither have I changed my clothes. But I am happy to leave because everything now is okay," Kinoti stated. Kinoti was among the first responders at DusitD2 Hotel after the terrorists attacked the building and is said to have coordinated the first police units at the scene before the elite Recce Squad officers came in.
