Congratulations: Kenyans express excitement as Harambee Stars qualify for AFCON2019

A ten hour CAF executive meeting On Friday made a shocking announcement.

Cameroon was on Friday stripped of hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations due to delays in preparing for the continental showpiece, organisers the Confederation of African Football (Caf) announced.

“Today, we took the decision to withdraw the 2019 CAN from Cameroon,” Caf president Ahmad Ahmad told a press conference in Accra.

South Africa or Morocco may step in as the next in line hosts. The 2019 event is scheduled for June 15-July 13.

When the news broke that Harambee Stars are through to their first AFCON finals since 2004, many Kenyans expressed their feeling.

Confederation of African Football (Caf) in an Extraordinary Executive Committee meeting decided Sierra Leone are suspended from the 2019 Afcon qualifiers.
