Clothing and sponges stained with the blood of Jennifer Dulos, a wealthy Connecticut resident who has been missing for more than a week, were found in trash cans in the same area where cellphone records and surveillance video showed her estranged husband had been, according to arrest warrants released Monday.

The police also found traces of blood in Ms. Dulos’s home in New Canaan, Conn., a suburb about 45 miles from Manhattan, the day she went missing, the warrants showed.

The warrants, made public on Monday as Ms. Dulos’s husband, Fotis Dulos, and his girlfriend, Michelle C. Troconis, appeared in court, provided the clearest evidence that the police were investigating Ms. Dulos’s disappearance as a violent crime and that they had focused their attention on her husband, with whom Ms. Dulos was embroiled in a bitter divorce battle over the custody of their five children.

At their arraignment hearings, Mr. Dulos, 51, and Ms. Troconis, 44, who were charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence, were ordered held on a $500,000 bond after a prosecutor in the case said that more charges were expected in relation to Ms. Dulos’s disappearance.

As the court hearing unfolded in Norwalk, F.B.I. investigators and local police continued searching for evidence, converging again on Waveny Park, a 300-acre park in New Canaan, where Ms. Dulos’s black Chevrolet Suburban was found soon after she was reported missing on May 24. The police have combed the park, using canine units and drones.

In the 10 days since Ms. Dulos was first reported missing, the police have not released any information about her whereabouts. Their investigation has spread across Connecticut and into neighboring Westchester County.

Ms. Dulos was last seen after dropping off her children at a school in New Canaan. Friends reported her missing after she failed to show up for several appointments that day, officials said.

At the time, Ms. Dulos was engaged in a lengthy court fight with her husband. Their divorce proceedings included more than 400 court filings, many of them about custody and visitation rights.

In court filings, Ms. Dulos said that her husband had been verbally abusive, according to local news reports. In one affidavit, the news reports said, she told a judge she feared he might kidnap their five children and take them to Greece, where he was raised.

Mr. Dulos was also fighting a legal battle with the estate of Ms. Dulos’s deceased father over $1.7 million in loans that Mr. Dulos had failed to repay, according to court documents.

On Friday, the police expanded their investigation to Hartford, moving from house to house searching storm drains and trash cans for possible evidence.

State Police investigators arrested Mr. Dulos and Ms. Troconis on Saturday night at a hotel in Connecticut.

Judge Stephanie McLaughlin of State Superior Court ordered Mr. Dulos and Ms. Troconis to surrender their passports and be subject to GPS monitoring if they posted bail.

Mr. Dulos, who entered the court in an orange jumpsuit with chains around his ankles and wrists, left the court in police custody after his lawyer, Eugene Riccio, said that he did not believe Mr. Dulos would be able to post bond.

Ms. Troconis, who was also shackled and appeared bewildered as she stood in the courtroom, was expected to post bond on Monday, her lawyer, Andrew Bowman, said.

Mr. Bowman asked Judge McLaughlin for a reduction in her bond, saying “she is not a flight risk and has a young child.”

But Judge McLaughlin declined the request. She also ordered Ms. Troconis not to have further contact with Mr. Dulos or Ms. Dulos’s family.
