Brenda Wairimu is finally actualizing her dreams.
Just recently she bagged two awards: LIPFF 2019 Best Actress – Kenya and WFA 2020 Best Actress during the African Magic Views Choice Awards.

However, Brenda’s life is not picture perfect like we would love to believe.
Brenda took to social media to reveal that at her toughest times, she decided to make her acting career a much-needed escape.
“You know how they say artists perform their best, when they are at their worst?
These trophies mean a lot to me, its taken almost a decade to get here…and its true, when my personal life was at its worst, my art thrived, it was/is my escape.’ Brenda opened up

She broke it down saying acting made her escape the real Brenda because she was someone else in every project.
“I lost my dad when we began the shooting of KONA, my mom after that. During Disconnect and especially SUBIRA, my relationship was taking blow after blow, and a lot of misinformation was going round about it. It was a blessing to be able to be someone else, whose life was laid down as words on a script, whose outcome was certain.” She added
She concluded her confession by thanking the film industry for giving her a platform to be someone else.

I think what I am trying to say is artists are human too, life happens to us, we love, we mourn, we make mistakes, and we do it all in front of a million and one eyes. This is very cliche to say, I know. But THANK YOU to you all, and for Art and Film for always being my escape, my alternate reality.
We may be looking at these actors on TV and thinking they live a perfect life but Brenda has cleared it up for us that they are just as human as you and me.

Juliani, her ex, mentioned in an interview with Betty Kyallo that they may not be together but they are co-parenting just fine.
He also mentioned that he is not in the space to look for love anytime from now.
