Postmortem reveals what killed Ruth Matete’s husband – Nairobi News

Blessed John Apewajoye, the husband of gospel musician Ruth Matete, died from complications that resulted from 60 percent burns, chief government pathologist Johansen Oduor has said.

Dr Oduor spoke on Thursday after conducting a postmortem on the body of Apewajoye.

The complications included sepsis and multiple organ failure, he added.

Ms Matete will, however, not be able to bury her husband until the Nigerian government has allowed her to do so.

The Nigerian High commission has formally requested the DCI to ensure that the body is held until consent is given by their government.
