Sunday January 20, 2019-Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has suffered a career threatening blow after elected MPs in the county disowned his 'rogue' leadership at a funeral at Nyansiongo.

The MPs, led by Joash Nyamoko (North Mugirango) Kitutu Masaba MP, Shadrack Mose, and County MP Jerusha Momanyi, threw stones at Nyangarama, as they claimed his administration was full of impunity. "Nyagarama has failed to deliver to the electorates.” “We will not side with him because he is misusing public funds instead of using the money to initiate development projects in the county," said Nyamoko. He accused county MCAs for failing to oversight Nyagarama's style of leadership. "MCAs have been bribed by Nyagarama so that he can continue.”

“It is high time the people of Nyamira to get development or Nyagarama to pack and go," he added.

On his part, Mose protested high levels of graft in the county, saying the Governor was doing nothing to arrest the situation. 

"Corruption is at the peak and Nyagarama is doing nothing.”

“No elected leader will support a corrupt Governor.”

“The electorates must see the fruits of devolution," said Mose.
