Thursday January 17, 2019-A Jubilee politician yesterday collapsed at Kisumu Central Police Station, few hours after being arrested for causing chaos and disorderliness.

Magwagwa MCA, Mr. Fred Omayio, had been arrested by authorities from Pine Hotel where he had disrupted a meeting attended by his colleagues. "I am not in Kisumu but I am told he came when drunk and started causing chaos.”

“He was raising the issue of allowances and asking my whereabouts yet I am not a member of the committee," Speaker Moffat Teya confirmed.


Omayio reportedly broke glasses and plates at Pine Hotel prompting the security to intervene. He was kicked out before being arrested by Flying Squad officers. Sergeant-at-Arms Mr. George Angwenyi said the MCA collapsed in Kisumu Central Police shortly after the arrest and was rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital where he is recuperating.


"I can confirm he collapsed and was taken to Aga Khan on Wednesday evening.” “The Hotel management want him to be charged for causing disorderliness," he said.
