To successfully achieve its mandate and ensure seamless delivery of services, the committee will come up with engagement terms and convene reconciliation meetings.
“The county remains focused on service delivery to the people of Kirinyaga and accomplishing the set development agenda in the next two. We will ensure the aspirations and expectations of our people remain the focus of our programmes,” Waiguru said.
In absolving her, Malala’s team noted there existed poor working relationship between the office of the governor and the ward politicians.
“The condescending attitude of the governor towards the county assembly is uncalled for and does not inspire confidence and trust in the county executive leadership.
The committee recommends that the Senate invites the county assembly and the governor to a consultative process that will restore a functioning government to Kirinyaga,” the committee recommended.
