Citizen TV Appoints New Director as Joe Ageyo Exits

Royal Media Services (RMS) has appointed Linus Kaikai as the company’s editorial director following the exit of Joe Ageyo.

In a statement, RMS Managing Director Wachira Waruru, said that Ageyo had left the station to pursue his interests.

“I wish to announce that Joe Ageyo who has for the last four years served the RMS as Editorial Director is leaving the company to pursue other interests,” Waruru said in a statement.

Kaikai who has been working as Director of strategy and innovation will replace Ageyo effective 1st April.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Linus Kaikai as the RMS Group Editorial Director. Until this appointment, Linus was the Director of Strategy and Innovation,” the statement read in part.

“Linus will oversee the administrative and editorial functions of our news and current affairs operations across the RMS platforms,” it added.

“As Editorial Director, Linus will oversee the administrative and editorial of our news and current affairs operations at RMS platforms,” Waruru stated.

Waruru thanked Ageyo for his service at the company.

“I take this opportunity to thank Joe for his service and wish him well in his endeavours,” said Waruru.

Ageyo who has worked in Royal Media Service for the last four years has overseen the company’s growth.

Ageyo was poached by NTV from KTN, before ending up at Citizen TV.
