Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Richard Ngatia has officially presented his nomination papers to the Jubilee party as he seeks its ticket to contest for the seat.
Ngatia was at Jubilee Headquarters in Pangani accompanied by a host of his supporters before touring Nairobi County to popularize his bid.
“Nairobi county is a sleeping giant, majority of the residents acknowledge the fact ease of doing business, access to clean water, affordable housing and elimination of cartel should be a priority. Thank you pangani residents for acknowledging my candidature,” He said.
It’s still unclear whether Jubilee party will front a candidate on its own or will partner with ODM to front one candidate under Azimio la Umoja.
In such a scenario, Ngatia would face off with Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi who has also expressed his interest in the position on an ODM ticket.
Meanwhile Sirisia MP John Waluke has ditched UDA party and joined Jubilee party ahead of the primaries next month.
Waluke was seen as one of DP Ruto closest politicians from Western is said to have even paid the nomination fees at Jubilee.
This as musician Bahati expressed his interest to contest for the Mathare parliamentary seat on a Jubilee party ticket.
