FAKE KDF OFFICERS CHARGED WITH FRAUD IN SERVICEMEN RECRUITMENT.
Kipkurui Tonui, Jonah Koech and Richard Maritim alias Tarno where they denied defrauding sh3.5 million.

Three imposters have been charged with fraudulently obtaining Sh3.5 million from a prospective recruit to the Kenya Defence Forces.

Kipkurui Tonui, Jonah Koech and Richard Maritim alias Tarno appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo and denied the charges.

They are accused of obtained Sh3.5 million from Vincent Koech, an offence the allegedly committed on diverse dates between November 14 last year and February 27, this year in Nairobi Central Business District..

The court heard that they obtained the millions by falsely pretending that they were in a position to facilitate employment of seven of Kipkoech’s kin to the KDF.

They were released on a cash bail of Sh1 million or bond of Sh1 million pending hearing and determination of their fraud case.

The case was reported at KICC police station.
