Raila’s Loyal Aide Jakakimba’s Baba Mama Arrested as They Fight Over Son Again

Renowned city lawyer and his baby are locked in a new battle over their son.

On Saturday, the two were airing each other’s dirty laundry in public, throwing around accusations that makes it hard one to know which party is honest.

Jakakimba, who is a long-serving side of ODM leader Raila Odinga, claimed that the mother of her son, Beryl was making the co-parenting journey dull and frustrating.

He accused Beryl of kidnapping their son while he was away.

“While out of town earlier today, a group of several women kidnapped my son from his playing ground at my Nairobi residence.

“This matter, currently with the police, remains sensitive bacause a minor has been dragged into it. I’ve just landed back from a family commitment I’d to cut shot – in Kisumu, to ensure I personally pick him back and restore him to his continued legal and lawful custody within my space,” he said in a statement posted on his social media platforms.

Beryl clapped back at the lawyer, alleging that he had used his influence to have her and the baby arrested.

She added that Jakakimba was leveraging on his huge social media following to portray himself as a good dad to their son, Fidel, but behind the scenes he doesn’t care much.

“For the record, we are not in a cordial and working co-parenting situation, courtesy of the other party. At the onset, when the father discovered that I was expectant, his reaction was negative to the point of requesting for termination of the pregnancy, to which I declined and decided to keep and raise my chils by myself, without interfering with his life.

“I was arrested together with my son, who is unwell and needs medical attention. At Kilimani police station. He is abusing the system again!” she claimed.

The baby mama insists that she doesn’t need any support from the father.

Jakakimba played down the allegations levelled against him and vowed to continue taking care of his son.

“By the time the record is set straight, a lot of hypocrisy, manipulation, blackmail and fraudulent hubris that some co-parents invite into such a sensitive environment as bringing up an innocent child, deserving of mutual love, care, provision and protection, shall be laid bare.”

This is not the first time the two are embroiled in a similar public spectacle.
