Tujibebe Wakenya Party leader William Kabogo turned to insults after he was heckled during a rally in Limuru, Kiambu County.

The former Kiambu governor was among leaders who had accompanied Deputy President William Ruto in the area.

When the DP invited Kabogo to speak, it was clear that a section of the crowd was against his speech.

Some shouted him down and raised placards to disapprove him.

Irked by the heckling, Kabogo scolded those who were against his address.

He claimed that some unnamed people paid the youths to cause chaos at the political meeting.

“Stop what you are doing. Those who paid you to disrupt this rally should hang themselves. Mapumbavu nyinyi,” he said.

The gubernatorial candidate added that some people were not happy with him after he decamped from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side to Kenya Kwanza.

“I listened to the people and they were clear that Deputy President is their choice to succeed Uhuru. I am not a prophet, but I am certain Ruto will form the next government. We have no problem with Uhuru, but he must go home as the Constitution says,” he stated.

Kabogo will battle to reclaim his seat alongside Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and whomever UDA will pick to fly the party’s ticket. The three will be in Kenya Kwanza.

The incumbent, James Nyoro will defend his position on a Jubilee Party ticket.
