Sunday December 23, 2018 - Deputy President William Ruto once again proved that he is the king when it comes to harambees, and not even President Uhuru Kenyatta can match him in terms of contribution.

This is after he gave a whopping Sh3 million to the utter surprise of many during a fundraiser to help an Islamic institution in Garissa County as President Uhuru Kenyatta contributed only one million shillings. When the DP announced his contribution of 3 million shillings, there was a round of rapturous applause from the crowd, and not a single person even recognised Uhuru’s 1 million contribution. Ruto’s generous contributions have attracted the anger of very many people, especially the Opposition, but on this one, even State House is beginning to get worried that the DP is outdoing the President. But according to organisers, Ruto was justified to give more than Uhuru, considering that he was the chief guest.
