Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, has maintained that the nation is headed to
the constitutional reforms and that no one can stop it.

He
took issue with Deputy President William Ruto, who has been in the front line
in opposing the same, daring him to come out and openly demonstrate his
opposition.
He
advised Ruto to stop opposing President Uhuru Kenyatta who has also supported
the push and resign from his seat like the founding Vice President Oginga
Odinga did in 1966.
“If
you don’t want it and as a Deputy President, what you can do is what Jaramogi
Oginga Odinga did in 1966, you just walk out of Government,” Atwoli
stated.
The
COTU boss termed the referendum, which is being spearheaded by Opposition
Leader, Raila Odinga, as the only remaining remedy for the recurrent post
election row menace.
