Job description

The electrician will perform skilled work in the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, apparatus and fixtures used at a waste management and recycling company.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Inspect, maintain repair and overhaul electromechanical equipment
● Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring
● Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems for Project facilities and equipment
● Installing and repairing electrical systems in the company
● Troubleshoot and fix electrical systems
● Running electronic tests and inspections
● Ensuring that systems are well grounded
● Preventative measures such as oiling motors, bending conduit and replacing old wiring
● Other related incidental work as needed

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical engineering
• At least 4 years of experience at a reputable company
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of actions
• Work from blueprints, drawings and sketches
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Install, including programming, and troubleshooting PLC based equipment
• Good skills in maintenance planning to ensure that plant equipment are available all the time
