Monday December 24, 2018-Embattled Migori Governor Okoth Obado has renewed his rivalry with ODM Leader, Raila Odinga.

This is after he poured cold water on the call for constitutional changes, terming it a waste of time. Speaking yesterday, Obado said Raila is just wasting his time with the referendum nonsense because Kenyans will not support it this time round. He told Raila and his supporters to instead concentrate on empowering their people instead of pushing to change the Constitution because that is not going to happen. "Let all our leaders think about providing employment for our people instead of rushing to things like referendum,  that is a waste of time,” Obado said. “If somebody is interested in bringing a referendum, let us first of all be shown how many new enterprises and factories they want to give our farmers.” “If we can start with that then the referendum can come later on," he added. Raila is pushing for a referendum to reintroduction of the Parliamentary system of Governance instead of the Presidential one.
