Monday,
January 21, 2019- Kenyan rapper, Henry Ohanga better known as
Octopizzo, has refuted claims that he had a hand in the death of a Strathmore University
student over the weekend. The deceased, Kenneth Abom, 19, succumbed to injuries he allegedly sustained after he was assaulted by the rapper. Speaking to the media, Octopizzo revealed that he was at his home in Woodley Estate on Thursday with his sister when someone knocked at their gate. The sister went to check on the guest and she found the young man who claimed to have been sent to see the Ivo Ivo hit-maker. However, the sister refused to let him in and instead asked him to text or get in touch with Octopizzo’s team. He ignored her and shoved her aside as he forced his way into the house.. This angered the rapper who admits to have physically ejected him. During the confrontation, a neighbor known to the rapper identified the young man as a resident of the neighborhood.
“No, I did not hit the boy. His father was the first person I talked to after the incident. I did not know what he came to do in my house. An hour later, we heard that the boy dropped from the fourth floor,” Octopizzo said Two days after the incident, the young man died while receiving treatment at Nairobi Women’s hospital. Meanwhile, the father of the late student has hit out at Octopizzo claiming that he has been very arrogant and has even hired bouncers after the unfortunate incident. “He was very arrogant to us. If he knew there was something wrong, he would have come to apologize to us. Yesterday he even hired bouncers.” The deceased father said.
