The ministry had earlier scheduled the opening date on January 2.
However, there is the worry of a looming teachers’ strike that is expected to take place beginning January 2.
Students joining Form One places are expected to report between January 7 to 11.
This year’s education calendar will run for 38 weeks.
The first term will begin on Jan 3 running through to April 5.
