Entertainment News 08:57 Friday, January 18, 2019-Court documents have revealed that Former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor, Olive Mugenda, was divorced by  her husband, the late Professor Abel Mugenda, because she was sleeping around with sugar-boys who are popularly known as Ben 10's.


Abel, who was a professor of statistics and research at USIU died on January 5 after he jumped from the 6^th floor of the White Rhino hotel in Nyeri where he had booked a room for almost a week. In an affidavit filed at the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Milimani in 2016, Abel claimed his wife was  a person of unpredictable moods and very violent. “In 1986, the petitioner, Abel Gitau Mugenda, then a bachelor, was lawfully married to Olive Mwihaki Mugenda, then a spinster under the Marriage Act, which was solemnised in Nairobi until sometime in 2013, when the respondent deserted the matrimonial home and started moving with young men and coming home at late hours,” the affidavit read in part. He further described his wife as cruel, rebellious and added that she shunned all efforts to persuade her to live a normal family life. Abel asked the court to dissolve their 35 year old marriage and his petition be paid for by his wife. Professor Abel Mugenda may have committed suicide after being frustrated by his cheating wife.

Police say that they obtained a CCTV footage showing that the professor wanted to slit his throat with a knife but he changed his mind and jumped from the 6th floor of the lavish hotel and died on the spot. When he died, his family lied to the public that he lost his life after a short illness  but  it later emerged that he committed suicide. The Kenyan DAILY POST.
