Saturday, January 19, 2019-Fresh information indicates that the 6 terrorists who attacked Dusit complex building and killed over 21 people and left scores injured collaborated with staff at the high end hotel to carry out the deadly attack.

This is after police officers found guns, grenades and rounds of ammunition hidden in a bullet proof room within the hotel.

Police suspect some of the hotel employees could have helped the attackers sneak in the arms into the bullet-proof room before the Tuesday terror attack that shocked the world. The commander of the terror attack, Mr Ali Salim Gichuge, was hiding in the bullet proof room when the security forces stormed the hotel during the siege. “It took us very long to break into the room because the armoured door was very difficult to break. When we finally did, the commander, who was the last person to be killed, had so many grenades and rounds of ammunition in the room,” a senior police officer who was part of the operation said. Some of the grenades and rounds of ammunition were on the floor while others were wrapped up in hotel laundry bags and put in different drawers. Police say the weapons may have been brought earlier before the terrorists staged the deadly attack. “We suspect an inside job considering these people had been frequenting the place as they schemed the attack.The five attackers had a lot of ammunition and their commander was very well trained. He gave us a difficult time and when he hid in the armoured room, that slowed us down as well,” said a police officer who participated in the rescue operation.

The Tuesday terror attack carried out by Al-Shabaab militants left over 21 people dead and scores injured.
