SHOCK as University student raped, stabbed to death in Kasarani(PHOTOS) – Weekly Citizen

Fear has gripped residents of  Sunton Kasarani after a body of  a 24-year-old Kisii University student by the name  Leah Momanyi was found raped and stabbed  to death  at her house.

The body was discovered by Leah’s boyfriend Benson Chacha who had just arrived from Migori when he found her lifeless , half naked  body on the bed. There were bloodstains on the floor as well.

Leah Momanyi, who had come to the city to work and raise money for her school fees, lived alone.

The caretaker of the apartment told DCI officials that on that fateful day, he heard screams at around 11:35 pm but couldn’t locate where they were coming from only  for the boyfriend to find his girlfriend murdered.

The concerned residents want the police and DCI to speed up investigations and arrest the perpetrators of the heinous act.
