Friday January 18, 2019-The much anticipated meeting between Deputy President William Ruto and ODM Leader, Raila Odinga, at Borabu has aborted at the last minute.

Earlier on, both Ruto and Raila’s teams had confirmed attendance at Nyansiongo Grounds for the burial of Mama Peninah Osero, mother to renowned politician Patrick Osero. But Raila Odinga changed plans at the eleventh hour and instead landed directly at Kisumu where he launched removal of water hyacinth at Lake Victoria and is expected to arrive at Bondo for Jaramogi Oginga Odinga memorial.


"The party leader currently at Kisumu launching of Lake Victoria water hyacinth.” “The project is expected to take over 30 months," ODM party wrote on Twitter.

The DP was left alone to attend the burial of the mother of his best friend, Patrick Osero.
