Talk Uhuru dodging BBI report handover – Weekly Citizen

Reports have emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta is tactfully dodging the BBI report handover which seems to have turned into hot potatoes going by the hostility ahead of its publication.

Uhuru is currently in Saudi Arabia for an undisclosed period even as governors from Mt Kenya region resort to an ultimatum regarding the publication of the contentious BBI report.

Recently another group of legislators from Mt Kenya region opposing the introduction of parliamentary system threatened to shoot down proposals contained in the Building Briges Initiative.

The sharp reactions from Mt Kenya over the BBI contents signal unease in the President’s backyard and the possible showdown over the report’s far-reaching proposals.
