Tusker, Gor Mahia Knocked Out of Caf Confederation Cup

Kenyan champions Tusker FC and Gor Mahia have been eliminated from the 2021/2022 Caf Confederation Cup tournament.

Gor were dumped out of the competition at the play-offs on 2-1 aggregate following a 1-1 draw with AS Otoho d’Oyo of Congo Brazzaville in the second leg played at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, 5th December.

The visitors took the lead Ronald Okouri n the 10th minute of the match before John Macharia levelled the scoreline for the home side two minutes later.

In the first leg played in Congo K’Ogalo had lost the match by a solitary goal.

Gor Mahia have now failed to advance into the group stages of the continental cups since 2018.

Meanwhile, CS Sfaxien bundled out Tusker FC from the competition after edging the Kenyan champions 1-0 in Sfax, Tunisia.

CS Sfaxien lone goal was scored by Ayman Harzi from the penalty spot in the first half.
