Why Ruto’s man, Kipchumba Murkomen supports BBI report 100% – Weekly Citizen

Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has changed tune and decided to support the BBI report fully  despite having vehemently been opposed to it from the earlier stages.

The vocal Senator and other leaders allied to the DP Ruto had opposed the BBI in what was seen as a gift in favour  of Raila’s 2022 political ambitions .

However hours after the BBI task force led by senator Yusuf Haji handed over the report to President Uhuru and Raila Odinga, the senator shifted grounds and took to social media to air his views in support.

In a tweet on Tuesday eve the senator gave the following reasons in support  BBI report,

1. Its Presidents own report and largely reflects the views of Jubilee.

2. Doesn’t require a referendum we’ll sort in Parliament.

3. Subject to further discussion and review.

4. Contrary to earlier threats doesn’t amount to a Tsunami.

5. Doesn’t overburden mwananchi.
