Kuttuny, Kirwa political rivalry erupts – Weekly Citizen

Political temperatures in Cheragany constituency in Trans Nzoia are high ahead of 2022 general elections. Sources on the ground say that going by the current happenings, the area will be a hot spot.
Already, two camps, one rotating around MP Joshua Kuttuny and another revolving around Kipruto Kirwa are fighting to outshine each other on the political front.
Kuttuny is allied to Kieleweke while Kirwa has deserted Musalia Mudavadi led ANC to Tanga Tanga associated with William Ruto.

Pro-Kuttuny supporters disrupted an event organised by Kirwa in Cherangany, Makutano areas. The function was to raise funds for local 15 churches.
DP Ruto was expected to preside over the fundraiser but skipped it for unknown reasons.
Kuttuny and Kieleweke supporters were forced to cut short their address in the wake of the acrimony.
Caught in the saga were Trans Nzoia woman representative Janet Nangabo and politicians Kakai Bisau, Bethwel Kirior and Kirwa.
Tanga Tanga group blamed Kuttuny for sponsoring the fracas. Kuttuny goons are said to have met and held talks at a local bar in Moi’s Bridge where it was decided the function was to be disrupted as money to facilitate the rumpus exchanged hands.
