Uhuru man plots Mathira MP ouster – Weekly Citizen

Nairobi businessman Waruru Gikandi has thrown his hat in the ring for Mathira parliamentary seat in 2022 elections. His entry in the race is giving the incumbent MP Rigathi Gachagua(Pictured above) and other aspirants sleepless nights.
Waruru was a trusted pointman of the late Nyeri county governor Nderitu Gachagua.

In 2017 polls, he was the chair of strategy team of Uhuru Kenyatta reelection campaign in Nyeri county. Speaking in Magutu ward, Waruru said Uhuru is the Kikuyu nation spokesman and kingpin.
He asked politicians to halt premature 2022 campaigns and give Uhuru a chance to implement his Big Four Agenda to transform the country.
He accused Rigathi of blocking people from reaching William Ruto on grounds of being his key pointman in Nyeri county. The MP is also accused of looting the riches of his late brother sidelining the siblings by colluding with debtors among them banks and auctioneers.
