However, according to a Facebook post she had shared, she was disqualified after she told the judges that she will not remove the hijab during the reality show.

“Just a few days ago I decided to try my luck on one of the most popular reality Tv shows in Ghana,” narrated Zainab.

“Ghana’s Most Beautiful, I know it is a good opportunity for anyone who wanted to make an impact in their community…” Zainab added.

She further said at one point she became concerned when the judges started asking her questions regarding her choice of clothes.

Coming from a traditional Muslime home, Zainab said wearing a hijab at all times was a requirement and she was not going to let that go because of the show.

The hijab is a unique scarf that Muslim women start wearing from childhood to signify purity and respect for the tradition.

Zainab added that the judges went as far as asking her if she bathed in her hijab when she refused to remove it.

The young lady was disqualified from partaking in ongoing Ghana’s Most Beautiful beauty pageant auditions.

She believes she has been discriminated against based on her religious affiliation.
