Residents of Kasarani have taken to the streets for three consecutive days to demonstrate the poor state of roads in the area. Matatu operators have downed their tools, paralyzing transport in the area.
Their main complaint is that the state of the Kasarani-Mwiki Road has been overlooked by their own Member of Parliament Mercy Gakuya, who has remained silent over the matter.
On 15th January 2020, four people were shot dead by police who were using excessive force while engaging the protesting residents.
Neglect of duty and unwanted silence from the area MP are just but few indicators of poor leadership in the constituency.
This is a petition for you, the law-abiding citizen, to sign to ensure that poor leaders should not be allowed to serve in a public office ever again.
The target is to get 10,000 Kasarani residents to sign this petition and show their support of the impeachment of Kasarani MP Mercy Gakuya.
