Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed’s husband is dead.

Khalid Ahmed died at 5am this morning while receiving treatment at the Karen Hospital in Nairobi.

The family said he passed away after a short illness.

Burial preparations are underway.

Amina and Ahmed had been blessed with two children.

In the last three years, the CS lost close family members.

One of his brother died in 2018 after a short illness.

In March this year, Amina lost another brother, Esmael Mohammed Jibril, who was undergoing treatment in India.

Jibril was a prominent city businessman associated with Jibram Investments and Java Coffee House.
