The country is in shock following news of renowned actor Charles Bukeko alias Papa Shirandula’s death.

Shirandula passed away on the morning of Saturday, July 18, at Karen Hospital where he had been rushed to after feeling unwell.

8. Coronavirus test showed he was positive and he opted to proceed to self-isolation at home where his condition worsened.

9. The thespian breathed his last at the age of 58. He died a hero.

10. Born in Mumia, Kakamega county, the thespian developed an interest in acting career when he relocated to Nairobi’s Umoja Estate.

He would trek from Eastlands to the Kenya National Theatre, to try his luck and hone his skills despite many challenges he faced.

He then moved to Phoenix Theatre where he hooked up with one James Falkland who offered himself to train him on theatre basics for three years.
