The Covid-19 positivity rate now stands at 0.5% after 21 people tested positive on Thursday for the disease, from a sample size of 4,261 tested in the last 24 hours.
12 are Kenyans and 9 foreigners. 11 are females while 12 are males. The youngest is a 6-year-old child while the oldest is 60 years.
Total confirmed positive cases are now 323,423 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3,515,875.
In terms of County distribution; Nairobi 20 and Kisii 1.
The distribution of positive cases by age is as follows; 0-9 years (3), 10-19 years (1), 20-29 years (2), 30-39 (6), 40-49 (5), 50-59 (2), 60 years and above (2).
8 patients have recovered from the disease, 7 of them from Home-Based Isolation and Care while one is from a health facility in the country.
This pushes the total recoveries to 317,641 of whom 264,626 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,015 are from various health facilities countrywide.
Today no death has been reported and therefore the cumulative fatalities remain 5,648.
A total of 12 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 122 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). 2 patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
As of March 27th 2022, a total of 17,624,885 vaccines have been administered across the country; 16,123,066 are doses administered to the adult population above 18 years.
Another 1,222,865 are doses administered to those aged 15 to 17 years while 278,954 are booster doses.
The total number of vaccines administered in the last 24 hours is 21,513 while the total number of people fully vaccinated in the last 24 hours is 15,385.
The Proportion of adults fully vaccinated was 29.8%.
The Government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033.
