Rayvanny Reacts to Photo of Him Looking ‘Wornout’ that Has Excited Kenyans

There is never a dull moment on social media in Kenya, as many people have mastered the art of twisting almost anything and making it a laughing matter.

Tanzanian singer Rayvanny was a victim of circumstance after he was given a warm welcome to Nairobi and then ended up being the joke of the day. This was after someone shared online an old photo of him looking shabby. 

But the singer, unlike other artistes, who would have taken offence, also laughed at it. Taking to his Insta stories, Rayvanny teasingly said: “Whoever took this photo, God will punish you.”

The Tetema hitmaker was the main topic of discussion on Friday, 20th August, with many saying he looks better in his photos than in person. Some likened this to a situation when someone orders an item on the Jumia online shopping platform but ends up receiving something else.

Rayvanny, real name Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, is in Nairobi for Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s much anticipated birthday party at Emara Hotel on Mombsa Road on Sunday, 22nd August.
