The truck home somewhere in Machakos isn’t your everyday living space. A cosy home on wheels, BBC Presenter Ian Wafula says he was inspired to create it as a twist on the tiny homes phenomenon.
The two storey-building came up over six months, and is made of pre-fabricated panels.
Available to rent on AirBnB, the house has caught the attention of several Kenyans looking for their next get-away spot. From its exterior, one wouldn’t know what to expect of a house literally loaded onto the back of a truck.
Inside, however, you might be forgiven to think you were in a luxury apartment, complete with exquisite finishings.
It includes a bathroom, kitchen, office and main living area all with modern stylings, as well as stairs leading up to a bedroom

The house is located in a nice compound with a manicured lawn, a garden with an above-ground pool and provisions for a barbecue and bonfire.
It also offers amazing rooftop views of Kyumbi Hill and the surrounding areas.
