Bayo said she adored her lover who promised to marry her but only if she was a bit lighter.
To please him, the Anabadilisha hitmaker revealed he bleached her skin only for her lover to bring up another request in order for them to wed.
“I once fell in love with a young man I was sure would marry me. I loved and adored him, he claimed he loved me too and would marry me if only I was light-skinned (rangi ya thao). I decided to remove my legs from the sack, Mimi huyo river road, I bleached my skin to please him, the next thing he told me – he would marry me if only I was a bit taller. I was walking with high heels throughout, I nearly went to the bathroom in them to make him happy (sic).” she wrote.
She was apparently dumped later on and decided to get rid of all the body changes.
“Along the way he dumped me leaving me looking like a confused chameleon, yellow face – black legs blue hands. I had no choice but to go back to factory setting,” she added.
Bayo urged young men and women not to transform themselves for anyone because if someone loved them, they would not want them to change.
“To all my sisters and brothers out there, trust in God for a lifetime partner, learn from my mistakes. If someone loves you, they will love how you are. Any person who compares you to other people, forces you to be who you’re not, always lower your self-esteem and still claim he or she loves you is a scam,” she added.
She promised never to teach their kids to disrespect him noting he was not perfect but she had seen worse.
Bayo added the kids would rather have a father famous as the 310 guy than be fatherless.
