Following claims that Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission had lost data in alleged voters transfer scheme, Kenya Kwanza political faction is leaving nothing to chance in efforts to substantiate their allegations.
The faction that is led by Deputy President William Ruto is now requesting voters who in any way establish a change in their voting details to report to them for action.
Chama Cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria who is a principal in the Kenya Kwanza formation has urged his followers who find their voting details missing in the IEBC register to share with him.
In a Facebook post, Kuria who is vying for Kiambu County governor’s position however insisted that only supporters of Ruto should share the details with him.
“Please inbox me if your data is missing from the IEBC register or if you have been transferred without your consent. Kenya Kwanza supporters only. Wengine wajisort,” he posted.
Kuria made the request a day after Ruto told European Union that IEBC was playing monkey business after over 800,000 voters from his perceived strongholds were allegedly transferred without their consent.
His statement was however disputed as a fallacy by IEBC boss Wafula Chebukati who insisted that there has been no breach or any form of interference with the systems that the electoral body has maintained.
Chebukati asked Kenyans to remain calm as they wait for the register to be gazetted and published saying that the missing names are of voters who applied for transfers.
