Ford Kenya secretary-general Chris Wamalwa has at long last unveiled Educationist Bethwel Kiplagat Kirior as his running mate for Trans Nzioa governorship. Speaking at the Sinendet African Inland Church in Cherangany constituency in Trans Nzoia County, he said Mr Kirior beat all other candidates who had expressed interest in the deputy governor’s position. ‘’Kirior is an accomplished scholar with the highest academic performance full of unmatchable integrity and ready to serve the great people of Trans Nzoia’’, he said. Wamalwa said: We were looking for a very competent person with unmatched mobilizing skills who is well versed with the political dynamics of the whole county and not just anyone who could not bring votes. He added that leadership requires a man with Kirior’s abilities in properly handling and knitting together his family, church and personal finances. In his acceptance speech, Kirior promised to discharge his duties well as the principal assistant in case the pair wins the gubernatorial race. “I want to assure you that I have accepted to be your Deputy in this race and at no point shall i become a betrayer ‘’’, he said. FORD Kenya Party Leader Moses Wetangula, Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Uasin Gishu County Women Representative Gladys Boss Sholei who were present heaped praises on the duo and expressed confidence that Kenya Kwanza Alliance will win in Trans Nzoia.
